It suits plumbers, dentists, accountants and other local businesses — see our local SEO services.

Which SEO package fits your business?
Most businesses are easier to place than they think. Start with where your customers are, then check the competition in your market:
| Business type | Usual package | What it buys each month |
|---|---|---|
| Single-location trades, clinics, salons and shops | Starter | Business Profile work, core technical fixes, on-page edits and a short report |
| Professional services competing across a city | Starter to Growth | Everything in Starter plus new service pages and content |
| Multi-branch or regional businesses | Growth | Location pages and profiles per site, content production and link building |
| Ecommerce stores and national B2B or SaaS | Growth to Scale | Category and template SEO, technical governance and digital PR |
| Large sites, migrations and multi-market brands | Scale | Senior strategist time, migration support, advanced analytics and attribution |
If you are between two tiers, the free audit settles it. We would rather start you on the smaller package and move up when the work justifies it than sell you capacity you do not need. The SEO services page explains what the work looks like month to month, and our guide to how much SEO costs in the UK puts these prices in the context of the wider market.
What affects the cost of SEO
Each package has a published range: the bottom of the range is a focused programme, the top is a fuller one. Where your business lands depends on how much work is needed to reach your goals, which we assess in the free audit. For prices across the wider market, see how much SEO costs in the UK. These are the factors that move the price most:
Competition
Ranking for "accountant in Otley" needs far less work than ranking for "accountant" nationally. The more established the sites you are competing with, the more content and authority you need.
Number of keywords and pages
A business targeting five services in one town needs a handful of strong pages. A national business with dozens of services, or an ecommerce store with hundreds of categories, needs much more.
Site condition
A clean, fast site with good structure lets us spend the budget on growth. A site with indexing problems, slow templates or a messy history of redirects needs technical work first.
Content scope
If your team can supply expertise and review drafts quickly, content costs less. If we are creating a large volume of new pages from scratch, the content budget is higher.
Link building
Competitive markets need sustained digital PR and outreach. Link building is the most variable part of SEO cost because it depends on how much authority your competitors already have.
One-off SEO services
Not ready for a monthly plan? These services are available as fixed-fee projects. Prices exclude VAT.

Contract and cancellation
Our standard monthly terms are simple: three-month initial term, then rolling monthly on 30 days’ notice. There are no 12-month lock-ins and no cancellation fees.
- The three-month initial term exists because meaningful SEO work takes that long to ship and start showing early signals.
- After that, you can cancel any time with 30 days’ notice.
- Everything we create — content, reports, documentation, account access — belongs to you.
- One-off projects are fixed fee, with a deposit before work starts and the balance on delivery.
- Prices are reviewed annually, and we give at least 60 days’ notice of any change.
Agency, freelancer or in-house: how the costs compare
An SEO package is not the only way to buy SEO. It helps to compare the options honestly:
| Option | What you pay for | Works best when |
|---|---|---|
| Freelance SEO consultant | One person’s time, usually by the day or month | You need advice or a narrow skill and can manage the work yourself |
| SEO agency (like us) | A team covering technical, content and links under one plan | You want the whole channel handled, with senior oversight |
| In-house SEO hire | Salary, tools, training and management time | SEO is central to your business and big enough for a full-time role |
| Do it yourself | Your own time and some tools | Your site is small, your market is not competitive and you enjoy learning |
Many businesses combine options, for example an in-house marketer supported by SEO consulting, or an agency handling technical and links while the in-house team writes content.
Is cheap SEO worth it?
Very low-cost SEO packages usually achieve their price by doing less, doing it automatically, or doing it riskily: generic reports instead of real fixes, content written without research, and links bought from networks that Google classes as link schemes. The cost of cleaning up after that — lost rankings, manual actions, disavow work — often exceeds what proper SEO would have cost in the first place.
That does not mean you need a large budget. A focused plan on a small budget, aimed at the one constraint holding your site back, is far better value than a broad plan spread thin. If our Starter package is more than you can invest right now, our free SEO audit and free SEO tools are a sensible place to start.
What you get for your money each month
Every monthly package follows the same rhythm, so you always know what you are paying for:
- A written monthly plan agreed before work starts
- Itemised delivery: every fix, page and outreach activity listed
- A report covering enquiries or sales from organic search, plus rankings and traffic as leading indicators
- A strategy call to review results and agree next month
- Access to the task board and every document we create

How long before you see a return
SEO is an investment that pays back over time, so it helps to know what to expect at each stage. In the first month, the audit, tracking fixes and quick technical wins. In months two and three, priority pages improved or created and early movement in impressions and rankings. From months four to twelve, the compounding phase, where rankings, traffic and enquiries build as content and authority accumulate. Competitive national terms can take longer; local terms often move faster.
We agree leading indicators with you at the start, so you can judge progress before revenue results arrive, and we will tell you plainly if those indicators are not moving.
What is not included
To keep pricing clear, a few things are always quoted separately: website builds and redesigns, paid advertising budgets, paid tools or software licences you choose to buy in your own name, photography and video production, and translation for international sites. If any of these become relevant, we tell you before any cost is incurred.
Comparison
How we compare with a typical agency
| SEO Agency Leeds | Typical agency | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Published “from” prices in GBP | Price on application |
| Contract | Three-month initial term, then rolling monthly on 30 days’ notice | 12-month lock-in |
| What you pay for | An agreed monthly plan with itemised delivery | Vague hours or “strategy” |
| Ownership | You own all content, data and accounts | Assets held by the agency |
| Reporting | Enquiries and revenue first | Rankings only |
01How much does SEO cost per month in the UK?+
Our SEO packages run from £300 to £500 a month for local businesses, £700 to £800 a month for growing businesses and £1,000 to £1,200 a month for complex websites. Across the UK market, prices vary widely, so compare what is included rather than the headline price.
02Are your prices inclusive of VAT?+
No. All prices on this page exclude VAT.
03Why do you publish "from" prices instead of fixed prices?+
Because the work needed depends on your competition, site condition and goals. The "from" price is the minimum for each package, and we confirm your exact price after the free audit.
04Do you offer affordable SEO services for small businesses?+
Yes. Our Starter package from £300 per month is designed for local and small businesses, and one-off services start from £180. We would rather do a focused job well than spread a small budget too thinly.
05Is there a minimum contract?+
Monthly packages have a three-month initial term, then roll monthly with 30 days’ notice. One-off projects have no ongoing commitment.
06Can I change packages later?+
Yes. You can move up or down a package with one month’s notice as your needs change.
07What happens if SEO is not working?+
We tell you, explain why, and propose a change of approach. If we do not believe SEO is the right channel for your business, we will say so rather than keep billing.
08Do you charge setup fees?+
No. The audit and onboarding are part of your first month.
09Do you offer local SEO packages?+
Yes. Local SEO is delivered through our Starter plan, £300 to £500 a month for a single location, or Growth, £700 to £800 a month, for multiple locations or competitive sectors.
10How do I pay?+
Monthly plans are invoiced at the start of each month by bank transfer or card. One-off projects are invoiced with a deposit before work starts and the balance on delivery.
11Why do prices start higher for ecommerce sites?+
Online stores have far more pages, templates and technical complexity than most service websites, and category-level searches are usually more competitive. That means more technical, content and link building work each month.
