What you get from the free SEO audit
This is not an automated report generated by a tool and emailed to you within seconds. A person looks at your site, your search visibility and the businesses outranking you, and writes up what they find in plain English.
- Your biggest SEO constraint, explained with evidence
- The first fix we would make, and why
- Technical issues that may stop Google indexing important pages
- How your key pages compare with the pages that outrank them
- Quick wins you can act on yourself
- An honest view of whether SEO is the right channel for you right now
What we review
Technical health
We check whether your important pages are indexed, how quickly they load on mobile, whether there are crawl or redirect problems, and whether your structured data is valid. Our technical SEO services page explains what each of these means.
Visibility and keywords
We look at which searches you currently appear for, where you are close to page one, and which valuable searches you are missing entirely.
Content and competitors
We compare your main service or category pages with the pages that outrank them: what they cover, how they answer the searcher’s question and where you fall short.
Local presence
If you serve local customers, we check your Google Business Profile, reviews and business details. See our local SEO services.
Conversion path
We check whether visitors who land on your pages can easily understand what you offer and get in touch.
How it works
- Fill in the form with your website and main goal. It takes about a minute.
- We review your site by hand, usually within five working days.
- You receive a short written summary by email.
- If you want, we walk you through it on a 20-minute call. There is no obligation and no sales sequence.
The free audit is deliberately focused. If you want a full investigation with evidence for every issue and a 90-day roadmap, our paid SEO audit starts from £495. See all options on our SEO pricing page.
Who the free audit is for
The free audit is best for businesses with an existing website that want to understand why it is not bringing in more enquiries or sales from Google. It works for local service businesses, ecommerce stores, and B2B and SaaS companies. If your site is brand new, we will focus on the plan for launching it well rather than issues that do not exist yet.
We may decline a request if your site is in a sector we do not work with, or if we cannot see a realistic way to help. If so, we will tell you why.
What free audits commonly uncover
Every site is different, but some problems come up again and again. These are the kinds of findings a free audit often surfaces:
- Important service or category pages that Google has not indexed
- Several pages competing for the same search, so none of them ranks well
- Service pages that do not mention pricing, process or location, which searchers expect
- A Google Business Profile with the wrong primary category or no recent activity
- Slow mobile pages caused by oversized images or third-party scripts
- Tracking that records page views but not enquiries, so nobody knows what SEO produces
Many of these are quick to fix once you know they exist. If any can be fixed without us, we will say so.
What to have ready
You do not need to prepare anything to request the audit. If you want a more detailed review, it helps to tell us your main services or product categories, the areas you serve, two or three competitors you lose business to, and whether you have access to Google Search Console. All of that is optional; the form only asks for what we need to start.
01Is the SEO audit really free?+
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation. We offer it because it is the best way to show how we think and whether we can help.
02How long does the free audit take?+
We usually send the written summary within five working days of your request.
03Do you need access to our analytics?+
No. The free audit uses publicly available information. If you want to share Search Console access, we can include more detail.
04Will you try to sell me something?+
We will tell you what we would do next and how we could help, but there is no pressure and no automated sales emails. Many people use the audit to fix things themselves.
05What is the difference between the free and paid audit?+
The free audit identifies the biggest constraint and the first fix. The paid audit, from £495, covers technical, content, links, local and analytics in full, with evidence and a 90-day roadmap.
06Can you audit a site that is not live yet?+
Yes. For sites in development we review the staging site and the launch plan, focusing on structure, technical set-up and migration risks.
